This healthcare facility is currently housed in five separate buildings on the university campus. The buildings range in age from four to sixty years old. Hospital administrators have embarked on a massive, ten-year project to replace the outdated buildings with new construction. The medical center will remain open and fully operational during the complex project. The new facility will include a Children’s Hospital, Cancer Center, and Gill Heart Hospital.
LifeStructures Technology Planning is involved in planning and implementation of medical technology equipment for the entire facility. We are analyzing which equipment to relocate, what should be retired, and what needs to be replaced. We are working closely with architects, engineers and contractors to ensure that the equipment will fit properly in place and have the necessary power/plumbing/gas lines available.
